Today is 1/5, a significant number when it comes to the climate crisis. A 1.5 degrees Celsius (or a 2.7°F) rise in average global temperatures is the threshold for climate catastrophe. Right now we’re at 1.2, and we’re already seeing that is not safe. We could reach 1.5 as early as 2024. We must keep it below 1.5.

On Monday, 1/11, we’re launching our first-ever 1.5 Challenge. You’ll commit to 1.5 miles or a 15 minute workout every day through February 12. You'll get:

An invitation to the 1.5 Challenge Facebook Group.
A calendar so you can track and plan your activity.
Information and actions you can take to be proactive in the climate crisis.

Will you join the 1.5 Challenge?

2020 was the end of the hottest decade on record, according to the UN. We’re in a climate crisis. We must make changes in the way we live, from where we get our energy to how we get from place to place.

Creating awareness and policy to put this change into action costs money. So we've set a goal to raise $15,000. Registration is a $35 donation, and creating a fundraising page is optional.

Team Sierra is a group that wants to be a part of the solution, and we’ll be with you each step of the way.
