Standing with you is something Dianne has done her whole life. Growing up in New York City taught her what matters most - the people. She stood with you at protests and organized marches. All of her work was often done without seeing the support of leaders we all hoped would deliver. They don’t deliver because they do not have the lived experiences you all have. The lived experiences that have shaped Dianne her entire life as a single mother and an Afro-Latina leader. When special interests come knocking Dianne will say no. When the media comes after her she will continue to stand up and clap back, even if it is the New York Times.
