John -- In 2018, AOC took her oath of office as BNC’s first representative in the House. Yesterday, we added three more to the Brand New Congress coalition on Capitol Hill for the 117th Congress.

It was amazing to see Representatives Cori Bush and Jamaal Bowman on the House floor yesterday, readying to turn activism into legislation.

Every single voter, activist and supporter is helping to replace business as usual, disconnected politicians with real, regular-working people.  

We deserve representation that works FOR and WITH us, because every public office belongs to the people. Brand New Congress was created for this very reason. 

Cori, Jamaal, Rashida and AOC are just getting started. We are going to do all we can to elect more representatives to stand with them and hold Congress accountable to the people.

People across this country are bearing the weight of long-standing systems that were put in place to benefit the wealthy few. Millions are now being crushed by the impacts of COVID-19. Yesterday gave us a glimmer of hope, but we can’t take our eyes off the work ahead.
