Nse Ufot, CEO of the New Georgia Project, helped flip Georgia blue in the general election. Here’s what she’s got to say about the Senate runoffs:

“There’s no world where a [12,670] vote difference, a 0.25 percent vote difference, would have resulted in a Biden victory, but for the work of groups like New Georgia Project and Fair Fight Action and the Georgia Coalition for the People’s Agenda to protect the integrity of our elections. We’re talking about, you know, millions of text messages, millions of phone calls. We knocked on nearly half a million doors in the middle of a pandemic, millions of impressions with our digital ad content that was designed to neutralize the disinformation and misinformation that black voters and brown voters are subject to.

“And we’re going to have to do it again.”

Ufot and her allies very well could do it again, friend. They’ve got the grit, the determination, and the heart -- but there’s a statistic we’re finding pretty troubling.

Joe Biden won Georgia, yes. But he actually underperformed Hillary Clinton in districts that had more than 80% Black or Latinx residents.

That tells us that Democrats have work to do. It tells us we have work to do. But we’re falling short of the work we need to do because we’re falling short of our funding goals.
