Hi friend --

"If we vote like our lives depend on it, because they do, we will elect Jon Ossoff to the United States Senate."

Barack Obama's words in Georgia couldn't ring more true. If we fail to get Ossoff to the Senate, incumbent GOP Senator David Perdue keeps his seat. In other words, an anti-LGBTQ+ equality, anti-Affordable Care Act, anti-immigrant climate change denier and close friend of Donald Trump gets another six years in the Senate -- and Mitch McConnell gets another term in the majority leader's chair.

But friend, believe us when we say Jon Ossoff can WIN. He came within two points of Perdue in the general election -- just a hair's breadth -- and is now seeing a surge of grassroots donations and support. Not to mention high-profile endorsements like Obama's, and a platform (which includes a new Voting Rights Act and science-backed solution to the pandemic) that appeals to progressive voters in Georgia and around the country.

We shouldn't get too comfortable, however -- David Perdue is an incredibly powerful man. He unilaterally rejected a series of six debates between himself and Ossoff before today's runoff, with no fallout. And he sold off more than a million dollars in stock at an incredibly convenient time during the pandemic -- but was still cleared of wrongdoing by the Senate Ethics Committee. Perdue's been acting in his own best interest and against the will of the people his entire life and getting away with it scot-free -- and there's no guarantee that that won't happen again this time.

With Perdue rejecting any debates before the race, many voters will make up their minds based solely on the attack ads they see Perdue running. And Ossoff is getting outspent; as the Center for Responsive Politics reports, Ossoff has taken just over $300,000 from Political Action Committees. Perdue, on the other hand, has received about $3.3 million from PACs -- 80% of which came from business PACs.

But we've got one thing they haven't got, friend: You.

This is how Democrats win elections. We respond to fraud, cheating, despicable policy aims, and powerful GOP special interests with grassroots ACTION. We come together as a party, with each of us chipping in a little here and there, and we WIN against the big red Georgia machine. Will you do your part now by pitching in what you can afford? Your money will support the Jon Ossoff campaign, one of the two Dems who will have to win for us to have a blue Senate under Joe Biden, and the progressive future of this country. >> [link removed]
