When we first sat down to consider Accountable Tech’s goals for 2021, one thing became clear: We can’t pull our punches. We need to continue holding Facebook and other Big Tech companies accountable.

We formed Accountable Tech to keep social media companies honest. Their platforms have immense power to stop (or spread) election lies, disinformation, and outright hate. We believe that by strengthening the integrity of their platforms, Big Tech will be strengthening our democracy.
