Brad Lander for NYC Comptroller [[link removed]]Finally, John, it’s 2021! This is the year we transform New York City.

In just a few months, we will nominate a new mayor, a new comptroller, and new city councilmembers for most of the city. We have a historic opportunity to elect a new team of leaders who will put people over profit, always -- leaders like our next NYC Comptroller, Brad Lander!

These critical NYC elections will be here before we know it. That’s why I hope you’ll join me, Brad Lander, WFP’s own Sochie Nnaemeka, and other special guests for a virtual Election Year Kickoff on January 7 at 7 PM [[link removed]] in support of Brad’s campaign. We’ll discuss how, together, we can deliver the transformative change that New York City needs →

Can’t make the Kickoff, or want to help another way? Brad has a HUGE fundraising deadline coming up in just a few days. Every $1 from NYC residents will be matched by $8 in public financing, so please give now and make an impact on this critical race → [[link removed]]

And this is important: Brad is the ONLY candidate in the race for Comptroller who has refused donations from for-profit developers, police unions, and corporate interests. If we want to make lasting, progressive change in NYC, we must pull together and make sure he wins -- starting now.

Now, the average New Yorker doesn’t think about the NYC Comptroller very often.

But as the manager of the city’s finances, the Comptroller has a hand in every single issue we care about -- whether it’s education, transit, workers’ rights, police accountability, preserving our green spaces, or tackling the climate crisis. We need someone in this role who isn’t going to cave to demands for austerity and slashing spending on essential services but will fight instead for a just and equitable recovery that uplifts all our communities.

So please, join us on January 7 for an important conversation with Brad and movement leaders from across the city about how we can recover from the pandemic and move forward into a brighter future for our city -- RSVP today →

If you can’t make the event, please donate to support Brad’s campaign before the critical January 11 deadline. Your gift will be matched 8-to-1, so $10 becomes $90 for the campaign! Chip in any amount now → [[link removed]]

Thank you so much for fighting for bold, transformative change,

-- Cynthia Nixon
