Jack:

Happy new year, and happy Election Day in Georgia!

Today, Georgians will decide which party controls the U.S. Senate—and whether we can finally end Mitch McConnell’s tenure as Senate Majority Leader.

I know we’ve asked a lot of you these past two months—thank you for giving generously to help elect Raphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff. Today, I wanted to share a few last-minute volunteer opportunities to help boost turnout in the final stretch of the campaign.

  • If you’re registered to vote in Georgia and have NOT voted, make sure to vote in-person TODAY between 7am and 7pm. Fair Fight has put together a website with all the information you need: www.peachvote.com.

  • If you’re on the ground in Georgia and are able to volunteer today, sign up to get out the vote with the Georgia Democratic party. The GA Dems have organized phone-banking, canvassing and door-knocking events across the state on election day.

  • If you’re looking for ways to volunteer remotely, sign up to help get out the vote from home. You can choose to phone-bank, text-bank, or even use social media to reach Georgia voters—whatever you’re most comfortable with! (And if you speak a language other than English, check out the Georgia Dems’ voter outreach opportunities for non-native speakers).

And don’t forget: It took ten days before television networks projected that Joe Biden would win Georgia. Today’s runoff elections are expected to be equally tight—so in all likelihood, we won’t have results on election night.

We should also be prepared for another “red mirage”: The first votes counted this evening are likely to be heavily Republican. As mail ballots begin to be counted, Democrats should gain ground.

In short? It will probably be a few days (or weeks) before we know the results. We’ll keep you posted on how to stay informed and involved.

Thanks for all you do!

-Stefanie
