It’s happening, John, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi just announced
that “now that we have the facts, we’re ready,” and a formal impeachment
inquiry will begin.

Two words: let’s go.

We at DFA have been calling for the impeachment of this corrupt, immoral,
and reckless man in the White House since he fired Comey in order to
obstruct the Mueller investigation. Donald Trump has violated the
Constitution time and time again with his dangerous policies, from his
involvement in the 2016 Russian interference in our elections to the most
recently revealed high crime and misdemeanor of actively attempting to
blackmail a foreign power into investigating one of his 2020 political
opponents.

It’s been an uphill battle to reach this point, but with the constant
public pressure from people like you, we convinced the majority of House
Democrats, and now finally including Speaker Pelosi, to get on board with
a formal impeachment inquiry.

This is a critical moment in our country’s history, John, and
we can’t stop our relentless activism in calling for impeachment now.

The impeachment process is just getting started, and we can assure you
that we’ll continue to push both chambers of Congress -- and both
Democrats AND Republicans -- to uphold American democracy and kick this
disaster out of office.
