Congratulations to Mitch Daniels on Recent Nomination
Congratulations to former Governor of Indiana and now Purdue University President Mitch Daniels on his appointment to the Commission on the State of U.S. Olympics and Paralympics. Earlier this year, I supported legislation establishing the commission and last month, I sent a letter in support of his nomination. I’m confident that he will bring a valuable Hoosier perspective to this program and offer expertise from his experience sustaining Indianapolis as the “Amateur Sports Capital of the World” as Governor and his work with students in higher education as president of Purdue.
Reflecting on the Hoosier Helpers in 2020
From the healthcare heroes to the frontline workers. From the teachers to the scientists who developed a safe and effective vaccine in record time. The American spirit has prevailed during this difficult time. I’m proud of the strength and resiliency displayed by Hoosiers this past year.
I’ve been moved by countless stories of Hoosiers stepping up to help their friends, and neighbors, and even people they’ve never met before. There is still a long road to recovery ahead of us but please know that I will never stop working for you. I hope all Hoosiers had a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
