The 2020 election finally comes to a close this week with the runoffs for the undecided Senate races in Georgia and the vote to certify the electoral college results in Congress. Because of your support, OpenSecrets will be able to preserve the campaign finance data and provide the needed analysis for the news organizations and research groups seeking evidence to unravel the lessons to be learned from this record-shattering cycle. Thanks to the many contributors to OpenSecrets, we’ll continue to expose how money influences our democratic system, and show its impact throughout 2021.
Your investment in data-driven journalism pays dividends when academics and media outlets cite us, when public officials rely on us for non-polarizing information on which to base decisions about reform, and to find misconduct and misbehavior so that bad actors are held accountable.
