Farm Sanctuary’s Social Justice & Our Food System Program offers a unique opportunity to be in community and conversation around issues of social justice in the United States food system.
The Social Justice & Our Food System Program is a free virtual 10-week program that incorporates community-building, dialogue, and reflection alongside a compilation of videos from guest speakers, a curated reading list, and a collection of educational resources. During each week of the program, participants will take part in an interactive and participatory 2-hour virtual community meeting for shared learning and discussion.
Included among the speakers and authors featured in the program are pattrice jones, writer, educator, and co-founder of VINE Sanctuary; lauren Ornelas, founder and president of Food Empowerment Project; and Syl and Aph Ko, co-authors of Aphro-ism: Essays on Pop Culture, Feminism, and Black Veganism from Two Sisters.
The Social Justice & Our Food System Program is open to individuals of any age, 18 and older. The program dates are March 15, 2021 to May 21, 2021 and space is limited to 20 participants. Spots are expected to fill up quickly. Apply today!
