SBA
extends EIDL application deadline through 2021
The Small Business Administration
(SBA) last week extended the deadline to apply for the Economic Injury Disaster
Loan (EIDL) program through Dec. 31. The deadline was extended under the recently
enacted Phase 4 coronavirus relief and FY2021 federal government omnibus bill.

Nominations
for FinCEN’s BSAAG are open
The Financial Crimes Enforcement Network
(FinCEN) is inviting nominations for membership on its Bank Secrecy Act Advisory
Group (BSAAG). Membership is open to financial institutions subject to the Bank
Secrecy Act (BSA), trade groups with members that are subject to BSA, and federal
and non-federal regulators and law enforcement agencies that are located within the U.S.
FCC
issues order codifying TCPA exemptions
The Federal Communications Commission
(FCC) last week issued an order codifying exemptions to the Telephone Consumer
Protection Act. NAFCU has previously shared recommendations on the exemptions
in meetings with staff in the offices of several Commissioners.

issues 2 prohibition notices in December
The NCUA in December issued
two prohibition notices, prohibiting individuals previously associated with credit
unions from any future participation in the affairs of a federally-insured financial institution.
