John,

Today, I was sworn in for my second term in the 117th Congress. As I took the oath on the House floor, I couldn't help but feel immense gratitude for this grassroots team.

Whether you donated, volunteered, voted, or helped spread my message to your friends and family, you are the reason I am back to serve the people of Washington's 8th district. I am excited to partner with the new Biden administration.

I'm honored and thrilled to have been selected to serve on the House Energy and Commerce Committee this session. This committee has broad jurisdiction and provides a platform to address many of the issues that matter most to you -- lowering the cost of prescription drugs, combating climate change, improving rural health care, supporting job creators and innovators, and so much more.

While I'm proud of the progress we made over the last two years, our work is far from over. As we continue to battle the COVID-19 pandemic, I'm ready to put my health care experience to work overseeing our public health response and ensuring families and small businesses have the relief they need during this difficult time.

Thank you again for your support over the past two years. I'm grateful to have the opportunity to serve, and I look forward to working together with the incoming Biden administration to deliver for the people in the Eighth, the country, and the world.

Thank you,

Kim
