The future of American democracy.

[link removed]

Dear John,

The history of America is of ordinary people working together to create a more perfect union. It hasn’t always been a straight or easy path, and it remains unfinished work. But time and again Americans have united around the belief that our nation is stronger when our institutions live up to that simple guiding value: liberty and justice, for all.

This year was a painful test of our country’s institutions. At every turn, President Trump and his allies tried to undermine our democracy. Our work prevailed, but we enter the New Year with full knowledge that the fight is far from over.

That’s why, this year, we’ll be fighting to end partisan gerrymandering and voter suppression, fighting for automatic voter registration, and to reform our criminal justice system.

It's inspiring work, so we put together a new video to help us share what we’ll be doing, thanks to your support. Please take a moment to watch:

Watch our new video to see what we’re focusing on in 2021:

In 2020, you and millions of other Americans helped protect our democracy while it was under attack on almost all fronts. In 2021, we have an opportunity to not only fight back but to break new ground, and finally make our democracy work for everyone. We couldn’t be more thankful that you’re on our team.

Thank you for fighting to make America more just, free, and fair. I can’t wait to see what 2021 brings for our work.

Sincerely,

Michael Waldman,

President
