Dear John,
Whether you’re ringing in the new year with great optimism or a heavy heart, a new year holds great promise. We don’t know what will come in 2021, but we know who we will be: advocates who fight for the vulnerable, who feel the weight of our obligation toward our fellow human beings, and who use the resources and skills we’ve been given to advance the human right to life.
“Any man's death diminishes me," John Donne wrote nearly 400 years ago, "because I am involved in mankind.”
We vow to be involved in humankind, not to close our eyes to the struggles of those overlooked or unheard. We invite you to make this resolution with Americans United for Life in 2021.
So many of you have already given generously to advance the cause of life in the final days of 2020, but if you haven’t yet had the opportunity or you’d like to give again as a sign of your resolve to be “involved in mankind” in 2021, we welcome your life-giving support.
I've been overwhelmed by the incredible generosity of so many supportive hearts from across our great nation over the past few days and weeks. For every way in which you support Americans United for Life, I offer my sincere thanks.
We value your support. We value you. And we thank you for standing with us as we enter a new year of promise and possibility.
With GRATITUDE,
Catherine Glenn Foster, M.A., J.D.
