Africa & Europe
- Pray for IJM Ghana as they begin planning a new project to protect children from the worst forms of child labor in the cocoa industry. Pray for close collaboration with government partners, and long-term solutions that will ensure children's safety and protection from abuse.
Latin America
- Praise God for the perseverance, commitment and successful care of our casework partners in Guatemala. Since 2018, we have been working with four organizations who have learned IJM's model of addressing sexual violence crimes and have contextualized it to their community. In 2020 only, even with all the challenges that came with COVID-19, these partners directly served 246 victims of sexual violence, providing free psychosocial support and legal representation. Pray that this new year would be another fruitful year in which justice reaches the most vulnerable through IJM and our partners.
South Asia
- Pray for wisdom and creativity for our teams in South Asia as they kick off some major projects this year. Many of our offices will be wrapping up their system reform programs, which helped improve the response of local governments to bonded labor and sex trafficking. We have seen remarkable transformation in these systems over the last 20 years, with thousands rescued and restored to hope. Pray for our teams as they measure this transformation and showcase it to their stakeholders. Pray the anti-trafficking community would be inspired and motivated by these results and would replicate these life-saving programs in new contexts.
Southeast Asia
- Praise God for a successful arrest operation in Thailand, in which seven suspects were arrested for trafficking five Burmese fishermen. Pray for justice to be done as the trial proceeds. Pray as well for the IJM Thailand team as they continue their work supporting the Thai government in rescuing and protecting victims of human trafficking.

Netherlands and the United Kingdom.

January is Human Trafficking Awareness Month, when many turn their attention to the issue of domestic and international human trafficking. Pray that IJM's work would receive attention from prominent news outlets and influencers to give people hope that there is a solution to this issue and to draw new supporters into the fight against slavery.
