Late last night, we found out that President Trump tried to withhold aid from Ukraine -- one of our allies -- as part of his alleged attempt to pressure their president into investigating a political opponent.

This is a dangerous escalation and I'm calling on Congress to swiftly investigate these allegations.

We must demand the whistleblower report of the President's interactions with Ukrainian officials be released as part of this investigation.

Trump's actions are a threat to our nation's security and our constitutional order.

This is the same guy who gushed about love letters from a North Korean dictator, shared highly classified intelligence with Russian intelligence operatives in the Oval Office, and sided with Vladimir Putin over our own intelligence community.

But if the President withheld Congressionally-approved aid to an ally in order to strongarm them into investigating a political rival, it will be the most dangerous example yet of his consistently disgraceful and unpresidential conduct.

We can't afford to stay silent about this. So I'm asking you to sign my petition. Congress must get the whistleblower report on Trump's actions. And if they don't, I see no other option than starting impeachment proceedings.
