Dear friends,

2020 presented us all with unprecedented challenges, but we enter a new year with brighter days ahead.

With the start of the new Congress just around the corner, my colleagues and I have an opportunity to make real progress on the issues that matter most to all of us.

Together with President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris, I know that we will work to heal our nation’s divides and unite our country once again.

I am hopeful and optimistic that the new leadership in the White House will bring renewed interest in ending the partisan paralysis so we can implement the critical reforms that passed the House but died in the Senate in the last Congress.

2021 is our chance to right the course. You have my word: I’ll do everything I can to help our nation defeat this pandemic, rebuild our economy and make all our shared values a reality.
