Hope in the year ahead, thanks to YOU

John,

Yesterday, as we counted down to midnight and said goodbye to 2020, we also closed out an important milestone for our nation's veterans -- DAV's centennial anniversary, marking 100 years of service to veterans.

While 2020 was an unprecedented and challenging year for so many of us, it was also a time when priorities came sharply into focus -- when people came together, in whatever ways they could, to support what matters most.

And the way you came together for our nation's veterans was truly incredible.

From the outpouring of support for our COVID-19 Relief Fund to help veterans who lost employment or had to close their businesses due to the pandemic ... to the thousands of flags flown in honor of veterans in this summer's Field of Flags ... to the myriad of other ways you stepped up for veterans in this difficult year -- you demonstrated that your support for these heroes does not waver.

Thanks to you, the new year is filled with hope for our nation's veterans. I'm so excited to see the progress we continue to make -- and the lives we're able to help change -- together.

Thank you, again, for all you do for veterans. Happy New Year.

J. Marc Burgess
DAV National Adjutant/CEO
