Hi friends.

This one is a doozy. I've been stalling for days but need to get this done before my head hits the pillow.

So this week I was going through my paperwork and found the first "file box" I created four years ago...

I knew right away back then that was the goal. I didn't know how, but I knew it had to be done.

And you know what? We did that. You and I and a few thousand of our friends. By bits and pieces, and then in a HUGE way. Stop and think about that for a second.

Let's be real, though. It was waaaay too close, and the lengths that the GOP will go to...let's just say we've got a lot more work to do.

These meetings will go on. In fact we've got a Feinstein meeting on the 12th, and possibly a quick Harris meeting early next week. The first general group meeting of 2021 will take place on Sunday the 10th, which will be a great time to nail down the focus and mission of the group going forward. Info for all will be posted soon.

I'd like you all to think about something. When I joined the group I was quite shy and rather terrified of going into MOC offices. I would never have raised my hand to volunteer. Someone encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone, and I encourage you to do the same.

Several people have asked me for lists of names and email addresses. I will not be giving out that information; it is simply not my place. I do see the benefit of compiling such a list. If you are so inclined, please volunteer to be the keeper of the list at the next general meeting! If you would like to be on the list, please let that volunteer know you would like to be opted in. Please do not opt members in by default (myself included) and please don't ask Wild Apricot administrators for members' info. Privacy first, y'all.

I want to thank all of the people who have stepped up to help out these past two years, and also everyone who has donated to keep this boat afloat. Those expenses will continue to accrue, and your generosity is greatly appreciated.

I won't be running off to Bali quite yet (ha). I'll be around to help you with anything you need; just give me a holler at [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]].

Lastly (and this is the past where it's hard to type because I'm crying), I cannot tell you how incredibly proud I am to have even been a part of this group. Never in my life have I met a more impressive group of humans; I am in constant awe of you folks and your passion and perseverance. You're family to me and I just love you to pieces.
