Tonight, Americans across the country and many of us here in Hawai'i are choosing to celebrate the holiday very differently, as many of us cannot gather in large parties with ‘ohana, friends and neighbors in big parties like we normally do to ring in the New Year. Amidst the challenges we continue to face to keep everyone safe, I want to wish everyone a happy and healthy New Year.
The year 2020 has brought upon our state of Hawaii and across our Nation a war of aggression by powers dominated by arrogant rulers and politicians whose selfish purpose is control free institutions and our small businesses. They would thereby take from the freedom-loving people of our state and our country the hard-won liberties gained over many centuries.
The new year of 2021 calls for the courage and the resolution of all of us conservatives in Hawaii to help to win a world struggle in order that we may preserve all we hold dear. We are confident in our devotion to country, in our love of freedom, in our inheritance of courage. And we need you now more than ever!
This will be a great year because we know that brighter days are ahead of us – that although our challenges are great, each of us has the courage and determination to rise up and meet them.
It is that spirit that has kept the American Dream alive for generations, and it is that spirit that will keep it alive for generations to come.
Thank you for all you do for the Republican Party. We look forward to your continued service in 2021.
