Dear John,
|
As we say goodbye to 2020, I want you to know how grateful I am for all you helped us accomplish this year. Thanks to your help, the National Committee managed to stave off several legislative and executive actions that could have significantly weakened Social Security and Medicare.
Next year millions of older Americans will receive a COVID-19 vaccine. The rollout of this vaccine is welcome news for older adults who have been overwhelmingly impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. Yet the new year also means new priorities and likely fresh attacks against the two programs that are essential to helping keep older Americans healthy and financially secure: Social Security and Medicare.
As someone who supports the National Committee, you understand the critical need to have a full-time advocacy force in Washington, DC fighting to protect your earned benefits day in and day out. That’s why I urge you to please make your year-end gift today!
John, any gift you make right now will be greatly appreciated and help ensure we can kick off the new year with the vital funds we need to stop looming threats to benefits — and move forward our priorities in the incoming Congress and Biden Administration that will improve the retirement and health security of millions of Americans.
Your donation will help us mobilize our grassroots army of concerned citizens and our advocacy and media relations staff to do battle against the powerful and well-connected insurance and drug industry lobbyists now descending on Washington in a show of force to protect their huge profits.
Every donation helps us get closer to our end-of-year $50,000 goal — SO PLEASE MAKE A GIFT RIGHT NOW. We have so much hanging in the balance in 2021 — your support will help ensure we’re prepared to hit the ground running when the new Congress convenes in just a few days!
On behalf of all us here at the National Committee thank you for your continued support and generosity.
