Before the year ends, I want to say thank you, John.
I’m thinking about the mountains we moved together in 2020. I’m so proud of this team and how fearless you all have been standing against injustice occurring across our country and fighting for the future we deserve.
In 2020, women all across the country united to defeat Trump and now we’re finishing the year working together again to win the Georgia Senate runoff.
There’s just one last favor I want to ask of you before 2020 ends: right now we’re $14,221 short from hitting our year-end fundraising goal. We need to hit this goal so our organizers in GA have a final boost of support to reach every last voter and to make sure our team has the resources to continue taking on big fights next year.
There’s a lot of work ahead of us to repair the damage of Trump’s administration and to pass the policies our country urgently needs to move forward.
It’s not going to be easy. But through our collective grassroots power, I know we can do it. In 2020 we saw that tremendous change is possible when everyday people rise up together, take to the streets by the millions, and care for one another. If we want to change the trajectory of our country, we must keep showing up for each other and our communities.
I’m excited to soon share with you more plans Women’s March has in store for 2021 to continue building a better future for all of us. But I want to be realistic with you, John: being able to bring all these plans to life depends on whether we can hit our critical year-end fundraising goal tonight.
Whether you give a couple bucks, $20, or even $100 — your donation has the power to create a direct impact on what we’re able to accomplish in 2021.
If you’re able, can you make a donation of whatever you can afford before midnight tonight?
Thank you for everything. Happy New Year,
Rachel
