Just a few days ago, AOC tweeted:
After Trump's latest obscene act of corruption, the dam might finally be breaking.
Just over the last few hours, multiple newly-elected Democratic members of Congress have signaled for the first time that they will support impeachment over Trump's stonewalling of inquiries into his attempt to bribe a foreign government to influence the 2020 election. And Nancy Pelosi is scheduled to be meeting with House Democrats later today.
In this political moment, we need leadership that's willing to stand with the communities that have been the direct target of Trump's attacks and his numerous corrupt acts and impeachable offenses.
This is just one reason why the Working Families Party was so proud to endorse AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley as our first 2020 endorsements, and why we are so motivated to go all out to elect even more principled progressives like them next year who will courageously stand for what's right no matter what their party's leadership tells them to do.
