John,
Wow. What a year it’s been.
We’ve faced a pandemic, economic crisis, election, and much more. Through it all, I’ve had the honor of listening to and learning from the outstanding voters in the Third District. I wouldn’t have it any other way.
But before I’m sworn in on Sunday, I need your help. Our end of year fundraising deadline is just hours away.
DC insiders will look at these numbers to gauge my strength. And I’ll be honest with you: we’re not where we need to be.
We didn’t unseat a 15-year incumbent by appeasing the status quo. I’m not going to back down from fighting for what I believe in, but that means that special interests will be watching our numbers to determine whether we’re vulnerable next cycle.
I know that our people-powered movement is ready for whatever they throw at us, but we need to hit our end-of-year deadline to prove it to everyone else.
I wouldn’t ask if it wasn’t critical.
Thank you for being with me in this fight—I’m looking forward to the years ahead.
Onward,
Marie
