This is the last time you’ll hear from me in 2020, and I’ll keep it short so you can get back to enjoying New Year’s Eve.

Look, tonight is our final fundraising deadline of the year, and since the November election passed, energy has really died down. I understand: we did what we had to do and defeated President Trump. But unseating Trump isn’t the end-all be-all. Not even close.

Mitch McConnell and the Republican-controlled Senate still stand in our way of making progress for the people. I’m talking about passing stronger pandemic relief measures, making healthcare more affordable, increasing wages, tackling the affordable housing crisis and a lot more.

The coming new year is an opportunity for change, but we have to fight for it. And in order to fight for it, we need resources.

Tonight at midnight, we close the books and face our final fundraising deadline, and I’m really hoping we can pull through and hit our grassroots goal of $25,000.
