John,

I know many of us are eager to say goodbye to 2020 and are ready for a fresh start.

This year brought challenges like we've never seen -- for our families, frontline healthcare workers, first responders, students, teachers, and small business owners. And we cannot forget that not everyone who began this year with us made it through these challenges.

We remain hopeful for better days ahead. But whatever 2021 brings, I'm fully committed to making sure we get through the COVID-19 pandemic so we can get to work on the issues we built this campaign on: healthcare access, protecting California's oceans and coastlines, economic justice, and supporting our veterans and their families.

We have much work ahead of us, and I want to thank you for standing with me every step of the way.
