John,
In 2020, Social Security Works members were critical in rallying older voters to defeat Donald Trump and elect a president who will join with us to protect and expand Social Security. But that wasn’t all!
Together, we have fought back against relentless attacks by the Trump administration and congressional Republicans who, at every turn, put up barriers between us and our earned benefits, including attempting to kick millions of people off of Social Security.
We’ve fought for critical COVID relief during a pandemic, which has made older Americans particularly vulnerable both medically and financially.
We’ve demanded that the COVID-19 vaccines be free and available to everyone.
We’ve fought to protect and expand Medicare and Medicaid, even as Donald Trump and Mitch McConnell have worked to undermine access to health care and take away protections for people with preexisting conditions.
In 2021, we have an opportunity to stop playing defense and go on offense in our fight to protect and expand Social Security and ensure health care protections and affordable prescription drugs for all Americans.
Can you become a 2021 member of Social Security Works with a membership donation as small as $5 before midnight tonight?
Thank you for all of your hard work in 2020. It’s been a hard year. But now with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris being sworn into office in less than three weeks and with COVID-19 vaccines starting distribution across the country, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Together, let’s make 2021 the year that we expand Social Security and improve the lives of millions of Americans.
Thank you,
Alex Lawson Social Security Works
