Friend, I'm incredibly proud of what we accomplished in 2020 here in Virginia.

With your help, I held VA-10 by a strong margin against a well-funded challenger. I was overjoyed to see my friends Elaine Luria and Abigail Spanberger prevail in two of the most competitive House races in the entire country. And I was so proud to see Virginia go strongly for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris -- the largest Democratic presidential win in the commonwealth since 1944.

Now, as we look ahead to 2021, we need to be prepared for new and unexpected challenges. We don't know what the new lines for VA-10 will be after redistricting, and if history is any indication, Republicans will be incredibly motivated to turn out in the 2022 elections.

Democrats are entering the next Congress with a razor-thin House majority, and we need to work hard to protect every potentially competitive seat early. That's why I'm reaching out before the year ends.

We're at a defining moment in our country. The American people need a Congress that is able to provide economic relief, expand healthcare access, make education more affordable, build an environmental future, and protect free and fair elections.

If Republicans take back the House, our chances at progress will be irrevocably set back. They've recently shown their disdain for aiding working families, and were fully on board with Donald Trump's horrifying efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
