It’s the anniversary of a big victory for transparency.

John,

This month marks the first anniversary of a big win for transparency in Congress.

After over a decade of work, we won a law last year that requires U.S. Senate candidates to file their campaign finance reports online — instead of the time-consuming and expensive process of filing them on paper first.

This is a big deal. We won with bipartisan support. We won because of hard work. We won because we brought groups from across the political spectrum together to get this overdue victory for transparency in our elections.

But our work to fix our broken political system is far from over.

Help Issue One continue to pressure Congress to make America’s political system work for us.

In the year since this victory for transparency, we launched our “Don’t Mess With US” project to fight against foreign interference in our elections — and just last week, we saw Majority Leader Mitch McConnell walk back his opposition to election security in the face of bipartisan pressure.

This is huge. We’re poised for another big win. Together we can stop foreign disinformation efforts and safeguard our elections in advance of 2020.

Donate today! With your help, we can have another big win for our democracy.

Thanks for all you do,
