I’ve spent my life's work focused on supporting peace and human rights in areas of Africa affected by devastating conflict. It has taken decades, but we are now seeing our efforts have a real impact on the ground.

In South Sudan, Sudan, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo, previously intractable conflicts have been brought to a tentative and fragile end, and we are working hard to ensure this moment of peace will last.

For the past four years, The Sentry has worked with governments and global banks to take targeted action against African war criminals and transnational war profiteers. Our investigators have followed the dirty money to expose warlords, Belgian gold smugglers, Bulgarian arms traffickers, Russian mercenaries, North Korean sanctions-busters, transnational terror financing networks, Chinese oil companies, Swiss commodity traders, corrupt government officials from numerous countries, and American banks and businesses with links to massive human rights crimes in East and Central Africa.

By creating real financial consequences for those responsible for perpetuating and profiting from conflict, we have been able to provide strong incentives to pursue peace. But much still needs to be done.
