Urban gun violence has plagued communities across the country -- including DC -- on a daily basis for decades. Our own backyard is no stranger to everyday gun violence as we see people, young and old, affected by gun violence here in the District. That’s why we need you to join us at Capitol Hill tomorrow at 1pm for the National Rally to #EndGunViolence.
We need to join voices in order to call on Congress to *finally* pass gun safety legislation. Pastor Pfleger and 13 busloads of gun violence survivors will be traveling from Chicago to put survivors of everyday gun violence at the forefront of this fight.
We will be on the Hill ALL DAY tomorrow fighting to ensure student’s voices are centred in this fight. Stop by at the beginning of the day to attend the House Judiciary Hearing on Assault Weapons Ban at 10am.
Can’t miss morning classes? Raise your voice with us at the National Rally to #EndGunViolence to pressure Congress to pass gun safety laws.
Our power is our voice and we need yours to join us this week as we continue this fight on Capitol Hill. The time to advocate for change is now.
In Solidarity,
MFOL DC
