Team, in a moment we’re going to ask you to make one final contribution to VoteVets before the clock strikes midnight for the last time in 2020. But first, we hope you’ll take a moment to reflect on our incredible successes as a team and as a movement.

The truth is that what we accomplished together in pursuit of protecting our country and democracy is nothing short of extraordinary. Here’s a quick rundown of just some of the highlights:

In 2020 VoteVets launched a first-of-its-kind digital organizing program that connected our movement of veteran and military families to voters in key swing states. Our small, but dedicated team of volunteers had millions of conversations with the folks who we knew we needed to turn out to end Traitor Trump’s reign in our White House — and the data shows we made a huge impact. We’re still at it, with our team of volunteers hard at work to flip the two Georgia Senate seats in next week’s runoff elections that will determine the fate of the Senate.

When Traitor Trump launched smear after smear on good American patriots who have served our country with honor: we were there. We were there, lifting up the voices of Gold Star Families, telling the stories of our fallen heroes, and waging public accountability campaigns against our Failure-in-Chief. Our ads were seen by millions — making their way to cable news shows and airing on television, radio, and online, thanks to the funding from emails just like this one.

We spent over $20 million dollars on advertising for our endorsed candidates, and nearly $3 million for other candidates. Not just that — but because of this incredible team’s dedication, we were also able to donate $320,000 directly to our House and Senate candidates while raising almost $400,000 online for them and other candidates who aligned with our mission.
But we should be clear: so much of this success did not happen because of the work we put in just this year or even the year before that. With your support and people like you across the country, we were able to turn five years of organizing into a decisive victory for our democracy. That was all made possible by our incredible grassroots movement of small-dollar donors like you pitching in an average of just $25.

We have come too far and have too much left to accomplish for our veterans who still don’t have access to their hard-earned benefits and support, for our military families who sacrifice so much so that we may all be safe, and for our active-duty troops who are putting everything on the line to defend the promise of what America has always said it can be: a country for all.

This has been an incredibly challenging year for everyone, and like you, we look forward to ushering in a new year that will begin the much-needed healing process and reinvigorate our commitment to the movement for the lives and rights of veterans, military families and actively-deployed troops.
