MONDAY. This isn’t just a fundraising deadline. This is my FIRST fundraising deadline.

The amount I raise this quarter is how the outside world beyond NJ-5 will judge whether I’m a “viable” candidate or not.

HELP ME REACH MY GOAL

What does this mean to me:

On Monday, 9.30.19 every candidate has to let the world know how much money they raised in that quarter.

Like it or not, this number can make or break a campaign. If you report too little, the press will drop you like a hot potato. If you aren’t shining at the bank, so will some organizations that endorse candidates like me.

Yes, that’s right: many organizations wait until after the first quarterly fundraising disclosure to decide whether to endorse. They don’t want to stick their neck out quite yet - after all, everyone wants to back a winner.

What does this mean to you:

It means that if you want to be a part of a grassroots effort that fights the big fights and does what’s best (not what’s popular among the wealthiest donors), you’ll chip in here.

I am going after one of the most conservative Democrats in Congress. He also happens to be the “Fundraising Machine”. I’ll never match his bank account, but I don’t have to.

I just need enough to

1. Show I have lots and lots of people behind me.

2. Run a grassroots campaign with field offices, literature, etc
