2020 was…a year. To paraphrase ourselves when speaking about politicians who want to ban suppressors:
2020 can kiss our brass!
Looking back, we have a lot of things to be thankful for this year. We were a major part of the team effort in Virginia, successfully fending off the tyrannical attempts to ban suppressors in the state. By the time things wrapped up in Old Dominion, just as we began shifting our focus to pro-suppressor reform in other states, Covid shut the world down. In the midst of the pandemic, we were finally able to legalize the commercial exportation of suppressors to existing markets abroad, giving American manufacturers the ability to expand their reach and create new jobs.
We don’t know what 2021 has in store, but we can promise you this:
- ASA will continue to fight to streamline the NFA process and reduce wait times
- ASA will continue to defend against any state attempt to ban or further regulate suppressors
- ASA will continue to fight to legalize suppressor ownership and hunting in all 50 states
Most of all, we are thankful for your support. We are a small organization that fights for suppressors for one reason and one reason only: we care. It’s not just a job for us; it’s a passion.
Thank you for supporting us in our endeavors. We promise that we won’t let you down!
