Friend,
Happy New Year!
2020 is finally closing, but not before another court sides with the radical left’s agenda.
On Tuesday, the 11th Circuit Court of Appeals rejected my appeal of the dismissal of my lawsuit against CAIR (the Council on American-Islamic Relations) and Twitter.
CAIR was quick to release a statement gloating about the court’s decision while calling me an Islamophobe and “anti-Muslim right-wing activist.”
They also announced they’ll seek legal costs from me, despite admitting to the Wall Street Journal that they lobbied Twitter to ban me.
Here’s a statement from my attorney Ron Coleman on the decision:
“The proposition that a major Twitter account cannot, as a matter of law, constitute a business interest entitled to protection from malicious elimination by a third party that has admitted its intention to destroy a plaintiff’s income and career is troubling.
That is just what the Court of Appeals affirmed in today’s decision, though.
The outcome is another victory for cancel culture, which unfortunately our judiciary seems determined to endorse and enshrine in American law.
Voices that dissent from the accepted corporate narrative will continue to be silenced not only by the management of those corporations themselves. This decision ensures that self-appointed enforcers of public discourse will continue to decide who and who will not be heard on the most influential public forums without regard for how their conduct with no accountability whatsoever for their actions.
Laura Loomer’s voice is the canary in the coalmine regarding the suffocation of free speech.”
I appreciate Mr. Coleman’s hard work on my case, and don’t worry, we’re not done yet. In 2021 I will continue dedicating myself to combatting Big Tech Tyranny and Cancel Culture.
Stay tuned for more to come and in the meantime, follow me on Parler for daily updates.
Happy New Year,
Laura Loomer
