John, I want to start by thanking you for everything you did this year to put our country on a path toward rebuilding. Whether you donated your time, energy, or financial support, you made a real and meaningful difference.

It's been a long and difficult year, but you didn't give up. And because of you, we have reason to be hopeful for a brighter future ahead of us.

There's still work to do -- to address the pandemic, the climate crisis, and threats to health care -- but I'm confident we're now in a position to get it done.
