Hi, John, it’s Steve Kerr again — I’m personally reaching out to make sure you saw my first message and to update you on Brady’s critical end-of-year goal.

I’ll be blunt: We're still falling way short of what we need to hit the ground running in 2021. Every dollar we raise now will ensure Brady has the resources to help defeat the NRA, hold gun manufacturers accountable in court, and pass life-saving gun safety legislation — like universal background checks and an assault weapons ban.

In moments like this — when we're trailing where we need to be — I like to tell my players to dig deep, put everything they've got onto the court, and focus on what matters. And now, with so much at stake, I'm turning directly to you and asking if you can dig deep for Brady: Will you make a $5 contribution right now — and have your gift TRIPLED — so Brady can take action to prevent gun violence and save lives?

Thanks for fighting with us.

Subject: no one is safe from this senseless epidemic

John, we have a historic opportunity to make real, lasting change under the Biden-Harris administration. My family has personally felt the scourge of gun violence — and I feel it each and every day I remember my father. I know 2021 can be the year we finally end America's gun violence epidemic — and I hope you'll give me a moment to explain why I'm in this fight with Brady and why their critical end-of-year goal is so important.

For the past four years, Mitch McConnell and the NRA have done whatever they can to stop our movement — including packing the courts, protecting gun manufacturers, and spending MILLIONS to defeat gun safety champions across the country. But now, the tide is changing, and Brady is leading the charge — from helping elect Joe Biden to pushing for a national assault weapons ban. Brady is working across Congress, courts, and communities to end this epidemic.

Brady’s initiatives are the antidote to McConnell and the NRA’s shameful inaction. And this coming year, Brady is setting their most ambitious agenda yet to put an end to the uniquely American gun violence epidemic. But right now, they’re falling short of their $100,000 end-of-year goal, so they need grassroots supporters like you to chip in now.

That's why I'm personally asking: Will you give $5 or more to Brady now and help them hit their critical end-of-year goal so we can pass common-sense, life-saving gun safety policies, defeat the NRA once and for all, and save lives? If you give before midnight, every dollar will be TRIPLED.

As a gun violence survivor, my heart breaks whenever I hear of another family that has to go through what I went through. As a young man, my father was shot and killed outside his office — and I found out then that no one is safe from this senseless epidemic.

That’s why I work with Brady to make sure they have the resources they need to take vital action to prevent gun violence and save lives — and that's why I'm reaching out today. We can make progress and save lives, but not without your urgent support, John. So please, will you rush $5 or more now — every dollar will be TRIPLED up to their $100,000 goal — so we can put an end to America's gun violence epidemic and save lives? Brady is a grassroots organization that depends on the generous support of gun safety champions like you.

Thanks for doing everything you can to make sure we put an end to the NRA and McConnell’s bloody inaction.
