POLITICO: "Dozens of House Republicans are warning Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell against proceeding with climate risk regulations for the financial system, in the first major political rebuke of the Fed's new efforts ... the 47 GOP lawmakers discouraged the central bank from imposing stress tests on lenders to measure their vulnerability to climate change -- a move that they said could spur banks to cut ties with the oil and gas and coal industries."

Two-thirds of Americans agree: The pandemic and our economy's collapse, coupled with colossal environmental catastrophes, has only upped the urgency to implement a comprehensive climate change action plan. But the GOP is so blinded by the fossil fuel industry's dark money influence that they'll publicly condemn any acknowledgment of climate change's existence -- even if it's coming from a Trump appointee.

Joe Biden's and Kamala Harris' campaign trail promise to address climate change was just one reason why over 80 million Americans voted for them. But there's going to be mounting pressure on both sides to give some of the world's biggest polluters a break.
