Hello,

Tonight, we're ringing in the New Year. I know most of us are ready to turn the corner and leave 2020 behind. But we aren't out of the woods yet — the challenges our City faced this year will be there for us to tackle again tomorrow.

Friend — I love this City, and I am determined to make progress and equity our guiding principles. Yes, these are challenging times, but whatever we face, we face it together.

I want to thank you again for choosing me to lead this City forward. It's a privilege and an honor to know that you believe in me to get the job done and move us closer to One Richmond, a city that works for everyone.

There's a lot of work ahead, but I'm honored to have you by my side every step of the way. I can't say it enough: thank you. And have a healthy and safe New Year!
