As long as food and ag policy is written by Big Food and Big Ag, our food, our
environment — and our health — will suffer.
Dear Supporter,
What a year.
Like you – and millions of others – I couldn’t have imagined last year this time
what the next few months would bring … much less how the next 12 months would
unfold.
But here we are.
As I write to you today, it’s crystal clear that our work is more urgent than at
any time in the history of this organization … and your role as a supporter is
more critical than ever.

If you’re one of the millions of people whose lives have been turned upside down
by COVID-19 – if you’ve lost a loved one, or lost your livelihood, or fear that
your right to health and wellbeing are under siege – know that the entire OCA
team is rooting for you.
Also know that we’re working for you.
In fact, we’re working harder than ever to expose and fight back against the
corruption— in our food and healthcare systems, and in our political system —that has led us to where we are today.
In my annual letter to supporters last year, I quoted the ancient poet, Virgil,
who said: “The greatest wealth is health.”
Little did I know then how prophetic those words would be … now 12 months later,
I can’t think of a better reminder.
I also can’t think of anything more worth fighting for than the right to healthy
food, a healthy environment, and a healthy democracy. We need you in this fight.

[[link removed]]Unfortunately, these rights are under attack as never before. Yet as frightening as these attacks are, they also present new opportunities.
When COVID first exposed the fallacy of relying on a centralized, industrial
food system—especially the industrial factory farm model—we used that system’s
very public failure to educate consumers on the benefits of local and regional
food production systems.
We wasted no time building a coalition and launching a Boycott Big Meat consumer
and media education campaign. The media took note. More consumers started
looking to their local farmers for meat and produce.
Organic and regenerative farmers stepped up, As contracts with restaurants dried
up, they adapted. They filled the gap created by Big Meat’s failure by selling
direct to consumers and farmers markets.
And as more consumers started connecting the dots between healthy food, a
healthy immune system, and the ability to fight off disease, sales of not just
meat, but all local organic and regenerative food, soared.
W e also took our Boycott Big Meat campaign to the courts, We filed lawsuits
against Tyson and Smithfield … most recently, we went after Cargill with an FTC
complaint.
OCA was always committed to ending industrial factory farming … COVID presented
an opportunity to expand and accelerate that work.
Thanks to your support, we were able to seize that opportunity, and make the
most of it.
If you follow us closely, you’ve noticed that our work also took an unexpected
turn this year, as details about the pandemic—including its origin—came to
light.
It is our belief that you, that all of us, have the right to know where this
virus came from.
If, as many scientists believe, COVID-19 was genetically engineered in a lab, no one will be safe, much less healthy, until this type of senseless, diabolically dangerous “research” is shut down.
That’s why we’ve joined forces with other organizations, and with hundreds of
scientists and lawyers, to demand the truth about COVID-19’s origins.
Together, we are pressuring world governments to shut down the hundreds of labs
around the world—labs that could leak the next, potentially more dangerous –
virus.
To some, this seems like an unlikely campaign for OCA.
But we have always fought to end genetic engineering of food, or at the very
least, the right to know if your food has been genetically engineered.
Now, we believe it’s critical to end the genetic engineering of viruses—before
those viruses end us.
That doesn’t mean we’ve abandoned our work to fix the food and farming system.
Far from it.
In a recent interview, financial advisor Catherine Austin-Fitts was asked what
she recommends people invest in right now.
This highly successful, highly respected and financially savvy professional
didn’t recommend stocks or bonds or Silicon Valley start-ups.
Instead, she took the interviewer by surprise: “Invest in organic food,” she
said.
Why? Because health is wealth—and good health is impossible without good food.
As we look forward to a new—and we hope, better—year, please consider investing
in OCA’s work to build a better food and farming system, and hold
corporations—and Congress – accountable for any and all corruption.
We hope you’ll view a donation to OCA as a long-term investment in “your
greatest wealth”—that is, your health.
If you make a tax-deductible donation between now and the end of December, the
Mercola Health Foundation will match your gift. Please make a donation by
midnight, December 31, to double your impact!
