John, Happy National Voter Registration Day!
The people’s right to vote is fundamental to our democracy. Unfortunately, across the country and in the state of Georgia, there is no doubt that the right to vote is under attack.
There are far too many barriers that are preventing citizens from going to the polls, such as rampant voter suppression and being unable to take off from work for fear of losing one’s job. This is especially true for those in marginalized and underrepresented communities, and it must be stopped.
Today, on National Voter Registration Day, we’re reaching out to ask you to stand with Ted and demand that Election Day be named a national holiday.
This benefits EVERYONE in our communities. Ensuring that all citizens can exercise their right to vote is just common sense.
Ted did it in Clarkston and saw unbelievable results. We know that once we expand this common-sense policy nationwide, we will achieve a more representative democracy.
John, we’re counting on you. Will you sign the petition right now to call on lawmakers in Georgia and in Congress to make Election Day a national holiday?
Thanks for speaking up,
-- Team Ted
P.S. -- If you’re not currently registered to vote, sign up and let your voice be heard in the next election!
