2021 is finally here.

But as we look ahead, we see that partisan politicians are already
plotting to exploit our broken system. The fate of our democracy depends
on us continuing to fight back.

In 2020, our right to vote was under attack, not just from of COVID-19,
but from presidential sabotage. We beat back that assault on our
democracy, but the integrity of our nation remains at risk until we close
every single loophole that allowed a sitting president to grossly abuse
their office.

A new year – and the fresh start our nation sorely needs – begins at
midnight. But to start 2021 ready to fight for new safeguards for our
democracy, we still have $5,719 left to raise.

Oscar-winning actor and RepresentUs board member Jennifer Lawrence helped
us create this striking video that paints a powerful picture of what we
can do in 2021 if we continue to fight. Because, ultimately, the train
wreck we’ve been living through is only a symptom of our corrupt political
system.

Even as Americans saw political gridlock and division like never before,
we also saw progress. We saw everyday heroes masking up to work their
polling places. We saw millions of Americans march for racial justice. And
we saw voters stand together to fight for democracy like never before and
demand their voices be heard.

Together, we saved our elections, protected our votes and stopped an
attempted coup. Plus, voters passed 10 new, powerful anti-corruption laws
in states and communities across America.

In 2021, we must band together to ensure that the anti-American,
anti-democracy attacks that nearly destroyed our nation from within never
happen again. That means passing anti-corruption and pro-democracy laws;
stopping the 2021 gerrymandering that’s already underway; putting tough
rules in place to prevent future autocrats from seizing power; and
fighting back against the rampant, polarizing disinformation that is
shredding the fabric of our nation.

We will only keep winning if we grow our movement, activating volunteers
in every single state – and to do that, we must hit this fundraising goal.
