Amy Freeman here, checking in from Ely, Minnesota. I’m between guiding dog sled trips at the moment, and wanted to take this opportunity to encourage you to make a year end gift to Save the Boundary Waters.
As we approach the end of 2020, I can’t help but remember where my husband Dave and I were exactly five years ago. W e were living in the Boundary Waters for the Year in the Wilderness project, which gave us the once in a lifetime opportunity to truly bear witness to this incredible landscape 24/7, for 366 days (it was a leap year).
We learned many things from our year in the Wilderness, but one stands out above all else: there are countless reasons to protect the Boundary Waters, and each day I saw or experienced something that gave me at least one more to add to the list.
We need to save the Boundary Waters, and we need your help . Make a year-end contribution by midnight tonight, December 31, to help unlock a challenge grant of $25,000.
Join me and speak loudly for this quiet place. Give here: [link removed]
