John,
Did you catch this line in the Washington Post this weekend?
"If Golden, a Marine veteran from Iraq and Afghanistan, can win next year by a sizable margin, he could secure the state for the Democratic nominee.”
The Post is spot on in their analysis, John. Because of the way Maine allocates its electoral votes in a presidential election, our district carries more political weight than your average Congressional district.
Not only does Jared need every vote he can get to win his first re-election campaign, but our district has a chance to cast a deciding electoral vote to defeat Donald Trump in 2020.
Will you make a contribution of $3 or more to Jared’s competitive re-election campaign, so we can ensure Jared has the resources he needs to win again and secure Maine’s electoral votes for the Democratic nominee in 2020? >>
Campaigns are expensive, John. We’ll need all of the help we can get from our grassroots team so we can create TV ads, digital ads, and mailers to spread our positive message. And we’ll need to buy pens and clipboards for volunteers and our field staff so we can reach voters every corner of our district.
If we fall short of our fundraising goals -- like the FEC deadline we have coming up in just a few days -- we risk not being able to turn out the voters we absolutely need to win this race and defeat Donald Trump in 2020. Chip in today to make sure that doesn’t happen. >>
Thanks for all that you do to keep this campaign going.
