Hi John,
I know you're receiving a lot of emails right now about the major public fundraising deadline, but please know that we don't like sending emails with requests for campaign donations.
It's a symptom of the terrible role that money plays in our political system. I know that it needs to end, and I'm committed to fighting for true campaign finance reform in Congress.
But, until then, I want to personally make sure that you know how appreciative I am of your generosity and support.
This morning, I asked my campaign team to pull a list of all the recent donations toward our important $10,000 goal. So now, if you'll allow me, I just want to say thank you to a few folks:
Brad S. from here in the Bronx pitched in $50. Thank you so much, Brad.
Michael S. in Tustin, CA donated $5. I really appreciate that, Michael.
Carol S. from Schertz, TX contributed $10. I can't thank you enough, Carol.
Kind and generous people like Brad, Michael, and Carol are the backbone of this campaign. I don't accept ANY money from Corporate PACs because my integrity is not for sale.
I'm astounded every day by the generosity of this team. So, with just one day left to reach our $10,000 goal, I have to ask: Will you please pitch in $10 or any amount you can afford? We're still short and I don't want to see us fail.
