Greetings!

December 31 is the last day — your final 24 hours — to make a tax-deductible donation to Acterra before the year's end. Our ongoing 1:1 match means that your gift will go twice as far. Your support means a great deal to us as an investment in a healthier future for our planet. Please give today.
As we close out 2020 and look ahead, I invite you to take action with us in January. You can sign up for our plant-forward Veganuary Your Way challenge, where we'll provide support for eating less meat and dairy at whatever level fits your needs. (And — in case you missed it — check out this article about our Healthy Plate, Healthy Planet program in the Dec/Jan issue of Bay Area Monitor.)

Or you can attend our first Induction Technology Workshop of 2021 and learn about the many benefits of home electrification. In addition, January will see the first bilingual Financial Incentives Clinic (Taller de Incentivos Financieros) for income-qualified individuals to learn how to access rebates and discounts on electric vehicles. I'll also continue my regular virtual Coffee Chats on the final Wednesday of each month.

In short, we're very excited to share our 2021 programming with you! Visit acterra.org/events to see what's in store.

As a reminder, you have until December 31 to donate to take advantage of new tax laws. The CARES Act encourages individuals to increase their giving this year. Donors who take the standard deduction on a personal tax return can deduct up to $300 from their income (on top of the standard deduction) for cash gifts made to public charities in 2020. If you itemize your deductions you can now deduct up to 100% of adjusted gross income (AGI) in 2020.
On behalf of the whole team, I thank you for being part of the climate action movement — and a part of Acterra's family. May you have a safe, healthy and fulfilling 2021!
In community,
Lauren Weston
Executive Director
