Dear John,
Did you see my email earlier this week? We’re running out of time before the end of the year. Please, if you can, donate today to help support our work. --Robert Reich
Dear John,
For months, Mitch McConnell blocked COVID-19 relief legislation.
Then, when he finally decided to do something, he passed a bill with:
- a $6.3 billion tax deduction for "three-martini lunch” corporate meal expenses,
- a $2.5 billion tax break for race-car tracks,
- $100 billion for a PPP "double dip" that allows forgiven loans to also be tax deductible, and
- not one dime for local governments, and a pitiful $600 check for everyday Americans.
And now the same people who had no problem giving billionaires and corporations a $1.9 trillion payout say we can't afford to pass the $2,000 checks that would help millions of Americans on the brink of homelessness or hunger.
These people have no shame.
We're calling out McConnell‘s scandalous failure with a rapid response series of content that is already going viral online. Please donate right now to help get the word out.
We launched Inequality Media to give everyday voters the information they need to hold these politicians accountable.
Let’s face it: It’s not easy for everyday voters to process the huge numbers in these corporate giveaways and handouts for the rich. And the mainstream media does a miserable job of providing the necessary context.
Our videos and posts break down the details in a way that people can understand, share, and act on when they vote, and we’re racing to get the word out about Mitch McConnell’s jaw-dropping hypocrisy.
Donate right now to help hold Mitch McConnell accountable for turning the Senate into a failed institution that has abandoned the American people for partisan gain.
Thank you for joining the fight for fairness,
Robert Reich
