I need to ask you to make a contribution to our campaign for midnight tomorrow, but first, I want to explain.

I love Maryland. Maryland is my home -- I grew up here and built my family here. It's important to me to make our state a better place for all Marylanders to live. That's why I've dedicated my career to fighting for Maryland priorities in Congress.

Just this month, I was proud to see my bipartisan bill to protect Maryland's coastline communities -- a bill I introduced a decade ago and have been fighting for ever since -- signed into law by President Trump.

Our shorelines are home to more than 126 million people and contribute nearly half of the country's gross domestic product. Climate change poses a real and serious threat to our environment and our economy, but my bill would give our coastal communities the tools to better prepare for extreme weather events like storms and floods and restore ecosystems.

This bill is crucial for communities like ours in the Chesapeake Bay watershed, and it's exactly the kind of work I'm proud to do on behalf of Marylanders.

But my efforts in Congress depend on the generosity of grassroots supporters like you. And with the last FEC end-of-quarter deadline of the year coming up tomorrow, I need to ask: If you are able, will you chip in before midnight tomorrow?

Your friend,

Dutch
